Economics at ACU integrates the study of economic theory and principles with the analysis of real-world issues, enabling you to understand contemporary economic events at a much deeper level. We take economic issues and policy problems as our starting point and look for an array of possible solutions, introducing you to elements of a range of economic theories in the process. You’ll gain a deep understanding of important issues such as unemployment, foreign debt and currency fluctuations – and the implications of these for consumers, businesses and the nation as a whole. You’ll also investigate and analyse the policy options available to deal with these issues at the national and global level.
Build your knowledge and develop valuable insight into a range of national and global economic issues, economic policy, local business operation, and consumer and business behaviour. Studying economics as part of your undergraduate degree will give you the knowledge and skills for a variety of careers in both the private and public sectors. You’ll also have a pathway to further study at honours, masters and doctoral levels.
We're available 9am–5pm AEDT,
